Financial Literacy - Family Budget

Step 10: Tracking Expenses

Destiny’s Child tried to warn you.  You will have more bills than car payments, house payments, and child care costs.  What will you pay for utilities? Water? Gas? Electricity? Car insurance? Do you have an Internet/phone/cable package? How much are you spending on food each month? Note: It might not be a bad idea to start collecting coupons. How many times are you planning on dining out? That can get very expensive.

Add to your Google Budget Sheet.

  1. You asked your parents or guardians to give you some estimated costs of what you will have to pay for certain bills each month when you completed the Bills, Bills, Bills worksheet that lists common expenses. Finish up your Google Budget Sheet by filling in the blanks.
