Creating a Survey of Clare Students
The start of Microsoft Access
For this project, create a survey for 10 of your friends to complete. Once you have obtained the information, you will create a database using Microsoft Access.
Step One - Survey (Rubric)
- Create a survey (form) using a table in Word that obtains the following information from students at your school:
- first name
- last name
- grade in school
- favorite movie
- favorite music CD
- ask if they are employed
- favorite color
- favorite sport
- number of brothers
- number of sisters
- Create the survey using a table in Word. Be sure the survey fits on ½ sheet of paper. The survey should include the following:
- a piece of clipart
- title
- table should have a nice border (line style & color is up to you)
- splitting cells and merging cells is evident
- directions to the person completing the survey on what they need to do and to whom they need to return the survey to
- correct grammar, capitalization & punctuation
- font that is bold, italics, and underlined
- Varied font & size
- When it is finished, copy it to the other ½ of the paper—both copies should fit on 1 piece of paper.
- Save the file as SURVEY
- Print 6 copies and cut all of them in half except for one.
- Give that one, full-sheet copy to your instructor with the attached rubric completed.
- Distribute them to 10 people around school and collect them when they are completed.
